RAL COLOURS still represented at the Board of Trustees of the Deutsches Farbenzentrum e.V. (German Colour Centre)

On the occasion of the conference "Colour in Design" in Hildesheim on 12 October 2018, Markus Frentrop, Global Head of RAL COLOURS at RAL gGmbH in Bonn, was elected to the Board of Trustees of the German Colour Centre. Mr. Frentrop's focus will be on the topics of colour standardization and internationalisation. He succeeds Dr. Karl who has held the position since 2013.

With the fulfilment of this task, RAL is continuing its long-standing and close partnership with the German Colour Centre – also in personnel respect. According to Frentrop, the cooperation offers a very good basis for strengthening the international network of the German Colour Centre. At the same time, external communication on the topic of colour standardisation is to be intensified in the fields of architecture, design and industry.

Up to 12 elected members belong to the interdisciplinary Board of Trustees of the German Colour Centre. The members are elected for a term of five years. The German Colour Centre e.V. - Central Association for Colour in Science and Design – has been an independent association on a non-profit basis since 1962. The purpose of this non-profit association is to promote scientific, artistic and creative work in the field of colour. The centre of attention is the interdisciplinary cooperation of all areas of knowledge and activity concerned with colour.
