How a RAL colour fan is produced

We used the production of the first high gloss water based colour fan – the RAL K7 – as an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of RAL colour fan production.

For example, did you know that the colours on the RAL colour fans are not printed, but applied using a lacquering process? And would you have thought that so many work steps are carried out by hand?

Like with all RAL products, precision and quality are the top priorities in the production of the water based RAL K7 colour fan. Watch the video to gain an insight into how this is ensured.

RAL COLOUR READER - COLOUR MEASUREMENT AND DESIGN

A world without colour is a different world. But the eye is often unable to distinguish between the many shades of colour. Is this blue water blue or turquoise blue? And where can you buy it?

The RAL COLOUR READER makes it easy to determine the exact shade of a colour. The handy device is held against the surface and the corresponding RAL colour appears in the corresponding app at the touch of a button. This means that colours can be determined on the spot and sent to the manufacturer in seconds.

The RAL COLOUR READER is a handy and precise colour measuring device. It is optimally integrated into the RAL colour system and thus enables an accurate and time-saving handling of colours.
