International Award goes to RAL COLOURS
RAL COLOURS receives the Design Intelligence Award 2018 in China for the outstanding design of the RAL COLORCATCH NANO colorimeter. Thus, the colour measuring device wins another internationally renowned prize, after the design awards German Design Award 2017 and Red Dot Design 2017.
The Design Intelligence Award was launched in 2015 by the China Academy of Art. The goal is to promote Chinese industrial design and at the same time to draw interest from design talents with excellent design projects from all over the world.
The Design Intelligence Award 2018 ceremony took place from May 6th to 10th, 2018, on the Nanshan Campus of the Hangzhou China Academy of Art. Out of 7,721 submissions from 41 countries and regions, RAL COLORCATCH NANO had been awarded out of one of the 22 best products by the international jury.
The handy, mobile colorimeter impresses with smart technology by measuring up to five colours at the same time, regardless of the surface and material, and finds the best matching RAL shade. The shade is shown with digital colour values and can be transferred directly onto a specific project by using the RAL iColours app. During the colour measurement any nondominant colours are automatically eliminated along with shadow effects and partides of dirt.
